about somnea

Somnea makes music that's like a journal entry. Taking you through the journey of how he works through things.

It’s not mindlessly obnoxious, or overly sentimental. Most of it comes from sitting with situations, with intent, longer than most people would.

Somnea grew up on rock and metal before moving toward hip-hop, so his music tends to blend distortion and atmosphere to create a unique sound. Almost like if you were to close your eyes and listen, you may find yourself in another dimension.

Following a medical hiatus that expanded years, Somnea released his highly anticipated debut album "Jordans."

Artist Sounds - Somnea "Forget"

February 4, 2021

Somnea’s track “Forget” gets picked up by Artist Sounds which writes a spectacular article about it.

“His music is polished and the song “Forget” reeks of potential. One of the best parts about Somnea is the fact that he won’t be one of those here today and gone tomorrow type of artists.”
